Folded thought of the day: Hello again all you Folders. As you know, I encourage and enjoy receiving feedback from you. I love reading your responses to my various ramblings. For those of you who have asked if you can use my words in communications of your own, I would only ask that you please reference where you got them. I don't mind being an anonymous friend on the Net but I believe in the spirit of Below the Fold and I ask that you honor this spirit by referencing the source of whatever you might quote. For those of you who have RSVP'd on my coffee-meeting riff of 12/3, I also look forward to the time when our paths might cross... and the invitation would still hold... I wouldn't have written it if I didn't mean it. But we won't talk about politics, okay? Now, I have received a few requests from Charlotte which I have neglected to address. Sorry about that, I get caught up in my own ramblings and it's hard to stop me. It seems that Charlotte is very interested in what people are planning for New Year's Eve. Which seems a reasonable request as we are now only a few days away from what will likely be a pretty crazy night. So, let's hear your plans. I'm still figuring out what to do myself. Maybe we should have a big Below the Fold party here in New York. Forget that ball-drop thing. We'll just figure out a good meeting place and get a little weird. What do you think? Of course, I wouldn't let on that I'm the Daily Editor. I'd just mingle and have a good time. Either that, or I might just climb into a '67 Cadillac convertible and drive down to Memphis and spend the night in some juke joint, stomping and screaming and enjoying some of that Southern hospitality. Maybe I'll see you on the side of the road and I'll give you a lift. You'll know me cause I'll be the only guy on the road who's driving in sub-zero weather with the top down.
