Folded thought (ramblings) of the day: These things take time. I hope you stick around. We have much to do. And miles to travel... "Father, why are all the women weeping? They are weeping for their men Then why are all the men there weeping? They are weeping back at them" -- from "The Weeping Song" by Nick Cave I've got a Halloween request for you all. A little homework assignment if you will. I want you to send me a scary story. And I'm not talking about haunted houses or men with hooks for hands out hitchhiking on a dreary night. No, I want you to send me a story about something you've personally observed that scares you -- that makes you wonder if the evil is gaining ground. For example, one of the scariest things I've seen in a long time was two men, standing approximately 10 feet apart on a Manhattan corner, speaking to each other on cell phones. I was between them, listening. It could be anything. Maybe you've seen a strong man not give up his seat on a bus to an elderly woman. Maybe you've seen one too many choke collars on neighborhood dogs. Or maybe you've seen something much worse...
