Folded thought of the day: "One cannot kill time without injuring eternity" -- Henry David Thoreau Editor's note: I'd like to thank "gmlaine" for sending this in. Speaking from experience, as one gets older (33 years and counting), the pain of time's passing becomes more acute. With every day, month, year, etc. the steps we take along our collective paths seem more resonant and numbered. Faces take on added meaning when we superimpose the clock's face, and know there will be a final moment. And time wasted indeed becomes a black hole from which we can derive no solace or comfort. Many people say "live each day as if it was your last," but I'm not sure about this. I strive to move further along my path, knowing that I'm far from reaching my ultimate goal, but also aware that if I can live my day honestly, answering to my inner self, then I've lived my day the best I can. So, I guess I'd say something like "live each day as if your life depended on it."
